In the run-up to the 5th US-India Energy Partnership Summit, TERI hosted a Round Table on 30th July, 2014 in New Delhi. The participants deliberated on new avenues to strengthen energy cooperation between the two countries, particularly in the areas of renewable energy, energy access, green buildings and conventional fuels.
Other participants included Mr Zubin Irani, Senior Managing Director, United Technologies Corporation India; Mr Venkatesh Valluri, Chairman, India Region, Ingersoll Rand; Mr Inderpreet Wadhwa, CEO, Azure Power; Mr Deepak Amitabh, Chairman & Managing Director, PTC India; and Mr Ashwini Aggarwal, Director, Government Affairs, Applied India Pvt Ltd and Co-chair, USIBC's Solar Task Force.
Deliberations at the Round-table will contribute to the development of an actionable agenda for the upcoming US-India Energy Partnership Summit, scheduled for September 30--October 1, 2014, in Washington, DC, coinciding with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit.
