Partners

In 2005/06, TERI-NA facilitated the establishment of a long-term relationship between the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Sciences and the TERI School of Advanced Studies, New Delhi, through a memorandum of understanding. The collaboration includes activities related to curriculum development, faculty/student exchange, and research. Supported by the V Kann Rasmussen Foundation, this partnership is helping to create a model of higher education with the following goals :

To produce a new generation of decision-makers and leaders in India who will take the country forward in the direction of sustainable development
To sensitize mid-career public policy officers in India to environmentally sound development and management practices
To build lasting professional ties between TERI, Yale University, and individual collaborators within each
To enhance the understanding of various schools in Yale University, particularly the School of Forestry and Environmental Sciences, of sustainable development from the Indian perspective, with the objective of improving the curricula, contributing to research, and making these more globally attuned and relevant
To include other research/academic institutions in this endeavor through workshops/conferences on environmental economics and managems
